The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) conducts Nationwide Entrance Examination (GS-2024) for Biology, also called the Joint Entrance Examination in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).
Aspiring students willing to apply for Graduate Programme in Biology at TIFR Centres (DBS-Mumbai/NCBS-Bangalore/TIFR-Hyderabad) should appear for TIFR/JGEEBILS exam. However, the Institutes will also consider candidates of top 5 percentile rank based on their GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET rank.
The Participating institutions operates an independent admissions process using the JGEEBILS result. Students should refer the website of participating institution for details of its admissions process and requirements.

Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, Mumbai (ACTREC) - Candidates who have appeared the JGEEBILS Exam, ACTREC will post a list of candidates and are eligible to apply at ACTREC.
Ashoka University, Sonepat, Haryana. Applicants who submit their SAT/ACT scores in their Application Form are also mandatorily required to take the Ashoka Aptitude Assessment.
Bose Institute, Kolkata . M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme in Life Sciences, the applicant should have qualified JGEEBILS. To apply for the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme in Physical Sciences, the applicant should have qualified JEST.
Centre for Human Genetics, Bengaluru. Admissions to M.Sc. in Human Disease Genetic: Selection for the course is based on educational record, online written test and interview. Applicants who have cleared their JGEEBILS exams are required to fill in the application form to be eligible to attend the interview.
